    Gardner Stone was born and raised in Middlebury, VT, and has lived here all his life. He started in the automobile business in 1964 selling GM vehicles for Beckwith Motors. In fact he still remembers the first car he ever sold, it was a 1962 Chevy Impala to Teresa Bicknell. By the early 1970's Gardner had become Beckwith's Truck Manager. In 1974 he decided it was time to prove to himself and his family that he could make it on his own. Selling used cars he started his own business at the little building next to Rosie's Restaurant. By 1979 he had outgrown the facility and moved down rt7 to the building across from A&W. While there he not only sold vehicles and heavy trucks he also started Middlebury Rent-all where he rented a wide variety of equipment. In 1983 G. Stone Motors took a whole new face, adding a new facility on Boardman Street and selling GMC, Ford, and Mercury Vehicles as well as a complete line of wreckers and car carriers. Now over 35 years later G. Stone Motors is a full line GMC and Ford dealer offering parts, sales, and service for everything from a compact car to a medium duty truck. Gardner prides himself on having a dedicated friendly staff that can fulfill every customers needs. As always Gardner is dedicated not only to his customers but also to the Middlebury community, he supports as many local charities and events as possible.     Todd Stone has been with G. Stone Motors since 1985, he went to work for his father (Gardner Stone) while still in school washing cars. After spending many years learning every aspect of the business, Todd is Vice President of the company and oversees all departments he enjoys working with both customers and employees. He also enjoys spending time with his family and watching his kids in their numerous sports and activities. Todd races dirt modified race cars at Mohawk Raceway as well as asphalt modified cars at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh. Spend a few moments with Todd and you will see the apple didn't fall far from the tree, his love of motorsports and racing beside his father are alive and well. Todd may take racing serious but nothing is more important to him than his dedication to the business and his customers. His door is always open and he welcomes both criticism and compliments!  "Business is much more than closing the sale, servicing a vehicle, or selling a part. It's catering to a customers need and offering support, listening to a complaint and correcting the mistake.     Travis started with G. Stone Motors in 2002 as a sales consultant, then used car manager, sales manager and eventually General Manager. He oversees the daily operations of the dealership and works directly with the sales and finance departments on a daily basis. Travis enjoys the challenge that each day presents him and learns something new from every challenge. He works with both customers and employees to provide a positive and professional experience for everyone. "G. Stone Motors is not your every day normal car dealership, you never know what you might find in our showroom. My favorite trade was an airplane that the customer flew into Middlebury Airport and traded it for a new truck that he drove home!"

    Jeri Bracken is the Office Manager at G. Stone Motors and has been a dedicated employee since February of 1990. She oversees all financial accounts within the company and works simultaneously with our banks, franchises, and vendors to keep everything running smoothly. She is an integral part of our management team and key part of the day to day operations of the company.

    Derek Lafrance started in the parts business in 1977 at a Napa Auto parts store in New York then worked as Parts Manager at a Chevrolet Dealership until 1991. He came to work here at G. Stone Motors in May of 1991, with over 34 years experience in the parts business Derek has the knowledge and resources needed to run our parts department successfully. Derek oversees the Parts Department including wholesale customers, inventory management, and retail parts sales. He enjoys working with customers on a daily basis and the challenge of finding that "hard to get part". Derek will go above and beyond to fill a customers order, and he prides himself on overcoming the challenges put in front of him.

    Vince Quenneville came to work at G. Stone Motors in February of 1992. Since then Vince has been a Salesman, Service Technician, Shop Foreman and now Service Manager. He understands the many different aspects of the company and will do whatever it takes to get a job done. Vince runs the service department working with both customers and technicians. He is responsible for making sure repairs are done safely, efficiently, and correctly the first time. Vince is a Ford Senior Master Tech and holds a very high standard of quality repair for the service department. Vince prides himself on being able to tackle even the most difficult jobs.  While away from work, you can find Vince on the race track, cheering on the Cowboy's, and someday he hopes to be seen behind the wheel of an F-650 Super CrewZer!

    Kevin is our F&I Manager and Assistant Sales Manager at G. Stone Motors.  When it comes to auto sales & financing, Kevin has 20 years of experience, and is a true professional in his field.  Kevin is well known for his love of any New England sports team, listening to music,  and operating on computers that should have been retired years ago!  Any Corvette sitting in his drive would make Kevin happy!

    Larry Grace "LT" passed away on June 7, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a dedicated employee and friend for over 30 years, Larry will be truly missed by everyone at G. Stone Motors. Larry and Gardner worked together in the 60's at Beckwith Motors, they became best friends and brothers. Weather it was drag racing or tending to business Larry and Gardner did it together. He came to work for G. Stone Motors in January of 1981 and spent every day with a smile on his face. No task was to big or small for Larry, if something needed to be fixed, rest assure Larry could figure it out. He was a dedicated and remarkable person who will be missed by all.

    Jason "Bubba" Kerr is a Sales Consultant here at G. Stone Motors.  Certified in sales for both Ford & GM combined with 8 years in the automotive industry, Jason has the answers and can work you a great deal!  While not at work or spending time with friends and family Jason can be found dreaming of, and working on tractors.  Jason hopes to someday own a 1983 Hurst Olds 442, or a 2013 GMC 2500HD "All Terrain".

    We are truly fortunate to have Fred McAtee as a Sales Consultant at G. Stone Motors.  With 37 years in the automotive industry, Fred brings a wealth of useful knowledge and qualifications.  He has been a Service Manager, a Chevrolet Master Tech, and is a  Master Certified Sales Consultant.  Outside of work Fred enjoys brook trout and deep sea fishing, spending time with the family and following New England sports.  Fred hopes to someday have a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle with a 4 speed parked in his driveway!

Stone Motors is our our receptionist Lynne Provencher.  Lynne is a great asset to our dealership with a combined 35 years in the automotive industry.   When she's not behind the phone, Lynne can be found oil painting, gardening, and following her favorite teams the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants, all while watching the grandkids!  Lynne hopes to someday own a GMC Acadia or Ford Explorer.

Stone Motors.  Andy is a fully trained Ford Certified Technician with over 12 years of experience in the field.  Andy is a true asset to our dealership spending his day helping technician's  and overseeing repairs.  Outside of the garage, Andy spends his free time with the family, following the NY Yankee's and playing golf.   Andy hopes to someday own an Ariel Atom 3. (It's hand built in the USA you know...)

Stone Motors.  Randy has worked in the automotive field for over 25 years and is truly talented at what he does.  From inspections to reconditioning Randy gets it done right the first time!   Outside of work Randy follows Nascar and is a huge #48 - Jimmy Johnson fan.   Randy hopes to someday own a red Corvette.

    Bret "The Jet" Williams is the man behind that clean car you drive away with after an oil change at G. Stone Motors.   As our Customer Detail person, Bret washs and vacuum's each and every car after every service appointment!  Bret is also our in-house "Fishing Specialist" spending all waking moments outside of work fishing and learning new techniques.  Bret dreams of the day he will be seen behind the wheel of a Black Shelby GT500.

    Thanks to Debbie Bagley's hard work and 20 years in landscaping, G. Stone Motor's property is something to be proud of.  From mowing to plowing, to planting, Debbie is great at what she does!   When she is not at work, Debbie can be found reading, crocheting, horesback riding with her grandkids, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.   Someday Debbie hopes to drive a red diesel F-250.
